vacation in yr own backyard: portland

The Portland neighborhood was originally a separate city, planned in 1811 by William Lytle, who was also the founder of Cincinnati.  Lytle sold lots in Portland in an effort to finance plans to build a canal around the nearby Falls of the Ohio.  Here is what Portland looks like today:

    I live it Portland!!! It really has an undeserved bad reputation. Many people automatically assume that Portland is part of the “West End” and avoid it.
